Creme Coaching

Life after grief gets to be more beautiful than before.

Grief doesn’t come with a map. It’s disorienting, unrelenting, and often invisible to the outside world. And while no two journeys look the same, one thing is true for everyone: you don’t have to do it alone.

Creme Coaching is a space for you to be fully held—in the mess, in the rebuilding, and in the slow return to yourself.

You’re not lost. You’re just somewhere you’ve never been before.

Leaning into my biggest, boldest, messiest life has been the single most rewarding thing I’ve done and it came from the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. Life has a funny sense of humor and I’m here to help you navigate the unexpected turns that are inevitably coming.

I don’t mean to be too forward but I’m your new right hand woman. There comes a time in every person’s life where the way forward looks a little hazy. That right there, is my specialty. I’ve come up to a crossroads more times than I can count and the one thing I’m certain of is that the path of least resistance is a trap.

Riss

Hi, it’s me,

So many people move through grief silently and alone, because it comes with such a heavy stigma. I wanted to change that narrative. I wanted grief to be something we could talk about—honestly, openly, even beautifully.

It took over two years after losing my dad for the numbness to finally subside. I hadn’t realized how much I was burying—grief, joy, anger, all of it. When I started to come back online and truly start living again, I realized just how much life I’d spent with my head down. How alone and lost I felt.

THE JOURNEY TO CREME

No two journeys with grief will be the same, and it’s about letting every client of mine know that whatever they are going through is okay and normal.

That’s where this work began.

I thought what better way to make purpose out of my pain than by helping people through theirs with my experience. Knowing what I know now about grief, everything is much more personal.

Because grief doesn’t need to be something we survive alone—it can be something we move through, together, with care, meaning, and strength.

II. SECOND ACT

Just as no two people are the same, neither is the process of coming out of grief and creating a new life.

Grief is as personal as it gets, therefore so is my process when it comes to coaching. There is no blueprint and each container is curated for the exact journey that you’re on.

First, we have to get to know the new you. I like to dip my toe into your past to hear about who you were and what happened, but then I love to dive into where we’re headed. There’s no going back, so we might as well focus our energy on where we’re going.

01. Meeting You Where You Are

02. What Comes With You

Second, it’s time to figure out what you’d love to take with you from who you were. A love of sports? Reading? The specific friends and family who continue to bring light and love into your life? Great, we’ll make it happen. Some things, however, you will have a hard time detaching from and THAT’S OKAY. One step at a time.

03. Reshape the Groundwork

Third, we assess habits and how they’re serving you. Limiting beliefs and how they’re hindering your progress. External environments that no longer welcome and lift you up. A reworking of all of these is necessary to step into the new version of yourself with levity and grace.

04. Practice the Becoming

Fourth, it’s time to put all we’ve learned into practice. Practice makes perfect. There will be a learning period, where mistakes are made and that’s exactly why having someone in your corner to give you grace and remind you of the bigger picture is necessary. This is the process, this is the making of the art.

Reflections from those who’ve journeyed through grief, growth, and transformation.

FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Grief is something we all experience throughout our lives in different ways, yet for many years I struggled to understand how to process it or where to turn for guidance. I had the opportunity and privilege of working with Marissa during a particularly difficult season of my life, and it truly changed the way I viewed the grieving process.

Marissa was thoughtful, insightful, caring, and deeply empathetic in every conversation we shared. She created a safe and comforting space where I felt able to be vulnerable and honest about my grief without ever feeling rushed or judged. Her guidance helped me work through emotions that often felt overwhelming, and her compassion brought a sense of peace and support when I needed it most.

I will always be grateful for the care, understanding, and presence she provided throughout my healing journey. The impact of her grief coaching has stayed with me in a meaningful way, and I cannot recommend her enough to anyone navigating loss or life transitions.

Prior to becoming acquainted with Marissa’s coaching, I struggled to believe that life could still be beautiful after losing someone so important to me. Against all odds, Marissa has a special way of opening your eyes to love your life and love yourself even when things feel dark or hazy or impossible.

Marissa is this beautiful combination of one of the most articulate, deeply intellectual, and incredibly warm and compassionate women I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. She has this ability to shift and guide you and your mindset towards light and growth, through her endless wisdom and genuine care.

Not only has she changed my perspective surrounding loss, but she has also helped me build more confidence within my personal life and career, helping me understand my worth, trust myself more deeply, and guiding me to live life to the fullest.

Marissa is an absolute light and a safe space for your realest emotions. I am endlessly grateful for her and her guidance, and truly believe anyone would benefit from having a woman like her in their corner, someone who lifts you higher than you ever thought possible.
